Hey, I recently opened up the stator cover on my CBF125 to check if the stator was damaged. Along with a LOT of oil, this (pic attached) part fell out and I can't figure out where it goes. If someone can either tell me the name of it or where it belongs that'd be super.

Cheers

Looks like a piece of a gasket. It also seems to have lots of tiny bits of metal shaving stuck to it....

It's called the chain guide. It sits by the front sprocket under the front sprocket cover.

As said around the sprocket under the sprocket cover
Important as if the chain breaks or comes off it is there to protect the crankcase from damage

Can also be a PITA to hold in place while you get both screws through both it and the cover.

If we're being pedantic, an early reference of the word "daud" is to be found in Robert Burns poem "Nine Inch Will Please a Lady."

"Twa roarin' hanfaes, and a daud. - He cawed it hame fair fully."

Referring of course, to the nine inch article in the title. Since a standard imperial hand measurement is 4" there is a remaining 1" required in order to please the eponymous lady.

From this we can deduce an old Scots "daud" is a lump of approximately one inch or roughly the size of a well endowed gentlemans bell-end.

This would be far too much grease to apply to your sprocket guide.
