Local Morrisons was backed up about 1/4 mile earlier, totally blocking two roundabouts on the main road. Absolute… fucking….. idiots. They should be shot publicly in front of their families.

It's all very well saying it, but ordinary non idiotic types have to drive cars too, right?

I didn't stockpile bog roll in the pandemic but I can tell you now A4 lined isn't very useful and into scavenger mode one went. That's the problem.

There's only a shortage of fuel now because all the cunts have gone and filled their bastard sheds up with fuel that'll never get used . Fucking bogroll all over again

I have a full tank of petrol at the moment (I bought it before this panic).
I have a long journey to do tomorrow and will use most of it up.

I’m going to have to queue for fuel tomorrow Crying or Very sad

And I'm sure like most responsible people you buy fuel because you need it. It's the fucking idiots who top up when they already have 3/4 of a tank who are the problem.

Depends on what your 3/4 tank is getting you, doesn't it.

In our daily that's 150 miles or so. 3-4 times to work and back for my wife that's using it for that purpose and needs to be in 4 days a week minimum at the moment.

Is she a dickhead for having to queue for fuel?

Those idiots stocking up on petrol are the same whankirz charged with keeping each other safe during a pandemic.
Give control of freedom to the masses.
What could go wrong?

I filled up the van yesterday when I already had half a tank, no fucks given. I need to be able to get to work and
it's a 34mile round trip assuming assuming no traffic so I'm still using best part of a gallon a day. A full tank won't
last me a fortnight but I do have key worker status so if it goes properly silly like it has in the past then I should get
dispensation to obtain fuel regardless. But to be on the safe side, I'll be topping the tank back up to full every time I
see a filling station without a queue on my travels. The best thing everyone can do is stop buying newspapers
and stop watching TV. The fucking media is responsible for most of the panic. The papers and TV said "OOOH Covid"
and the whole country turned to spastics for two years. Some are still hiding behind their sofas...
Now they're saying we're all going to starve/freeze to death/be stranded without fuel and the same mask wearing
panic merchants are having a good old flap about this instead... I work in the food supply chain currently, specifically
distribution and can assure you all that there's plenty of grub getting through and plenty of supplier lorries bringing
it in and supermarket trucks taking it out to the stores.

I blame the media, but also the haulage bosses who set up this story. They’re not happy about having to increase wages and promote driver training. Brexit is working.

Wondering if I should make a special trip into town to get “my” fuel and a photograph, then post my indignation on Facebook.

Dont.

The FB kunts will issue you with some sort of ban for flaunting their precious 'Community Standards'.

Whankirz.

Doh! I thought I’d just siphon some out of the tanker (car) but that’s on reserve as well.

The government have a massive part to play too. They’ve driven away foreign workers of all types due to Brexit, and then the government decided that lorry driving wasn’t considered a vital job …. Until everything grinds to a halt due to there not being any more drivers.

BoJo could have easily facilitated allowing workers to come over as part of the deal, but they wanted to appear tough and played hardball even though they had no idea how to do so.

But that’s why they’re bringing in a temporary relaxation of visa rules. Of course, the Remainers will seek to make political capital out of this. I think it’s a shame that government policy is so driven by fear of “public outcries” which are wholly made up by the media. Even “the national broadcaster” which we’re obliged to sponsor seems intent on working against the elected government and the result of a referendum.

Slightly “shutting the door after all the horses have fucked off” though. There’s no incentive for foreign drivers to come back, especially just to bail out the country that booted em out and/or put so much red tape in the way of doing business here there’s no point to it any more.

Out of interest, what's generally happening with bikes and queues at fuel stations? Are bikers simply joining the 2-hour queues, or are they filtering past (can't see that going well with other drivers?)

I'm heading off for a mini-tour of Ireland next week; on the plus side there are no fuel problems over there apparently but I'm slightly shitting myself because I probably won't be able to reach the ferry port on a single tank Crying or Very sad

Well normally it's perfectly Ok to go past someone paying or doing weekly shop while in there to get to next vacant pump.

you're probably going to be done and dusted in a fifth of the time a car takes, so riding round and filling up is sometimes fair game - but in a climate of panic buying, who knows

There would be a near-lynching.

I thought it was overblown but I’ve just taken the car round a few local service stations and they’re either dry or mad queuing. I’ve risen above it. I did have plans to visit the Kop Hillclimb this weekend though. Crying or Very sad

It’s entertaining when someone punches you in the chest only to find out you’re wearing armour (Icon Field Armour) under your jacket. Ask me how I know Laughing Fucker found the far side of my carbon knuckle gloves immediately after it too.
