A while ago now a member on here called Shazza 1, claimed that his brother owned the Harris Magnum2 that was once the possession of the late actor Lewis Collins. Does anyone know if he is still an active member on here as I would like to contact him to know more information on this particular bike.

yes I saw. The bike however does still exist as it is currently SORNed and had its last MOT in 2013. I'm just struggling to find out who the owner is. Have also contacted Harris Performance direct.

Write to DVLA and say they trespassed on your land and you would like their name and address so you can take them to court for damages. I think they charge £2.50 for the info. At least that is what a rich farmer did to get my details anyway, so I know it works.

Luckily he wasn't someone who wanted to put petrol through my letterbox followed by a lighted match but he could just as well have been for all the care DVLA took.

What were you doing on his land?

Riding on a vehicular right of way.

The farmer could wait 20 or 30 years for the highway authority to confirm that it was vehicular (or not which is what he wanted) or take someone to court and get a judge to give a decision. The judge instead asked the HA to bring it to the top of their list, they did and eventually decided it was a carriageway.

The farmer then went to court with them over that decision with a top team of lawyers and barristers and it was downgraded to a bridleway. I heard that he then had it diverted so he could build across the course of it, something much easier legally than with a carriageway.
