Very little time - you'd be amazed.
I bought a reasonable quality Vandorm Legend 7 bicycle pump recently (to supplant all these junk 12V compressors I seem to get through) after reading a few reviews. The Vandorm is obviously in a different league from what OP bought, but it's the same concept and almost identical design. These things are a far cry from the bicycle tyre inflators of yesteryear. Absolutely effortless. Plus the Schrader attachment is really good and sits all the way down on the valve.
I don't keep my inflator on the bike - just in the garage. On the bike, I keep 2 canisters of CO2 and a can of Tyre Weld. However, the bicycle pump is now my default method of keeping my tyres inflated at home. |
Same - only I use a Halfords basic track-pump about a tenner IIRC. All plastic and no pointless gauge but pretty sturdy nonetheless - the secret of these pump types seems to be is they use an o-ring on the piston rather than rely on a leather washer or modern day plastic equivalent. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750
