Do I need a new stator?

The lights on my CBF125 stopped working and the battery is not charging.

I opened up the stator cover and noticed some blackness around one of the coils of the stator. Could this be the cause?

Do you have a wiring diagram and a digital multimeter.

The engine still runs then ?

Battery charging wires may be yellow from stator but check on wiring diagram.

Check all relevant wires connections, that wiring diagram again...

You need to test it with a multimeter, preferably on the bike with the bike running.

200v AC. Only two wires to the stator? Thats unusual. There's normally 3

With a he engine running and the lights on, engine idleing, when you rev to say 4 k revs, do the lights grow brighter, they should do.

Are any bulbs going black ?
