Surprisingly, for once, that listing doesn't include the phrase "Barn find" anywhere..., despite the fact that for once, it looks to be just that

Motorcycle sport magazine ( now motorcycle sport and leisure MSL) used to really rate MZ's back in the seventies.

The Spitfire mostly conforms to my idea of "majestic".
Unfortunately, the asking price is also majestic. Nice looking machine.

Agree with JJ - the Spitfire fails to meet the 'would be could be bargain' criterion.. Bantam looks fun but there's a LOT of work left in that project.

I understand your view, but my majestic is more a 'fallen from grace with battle scars but still holding together..' over restored bikes are no longer the thing I believe - originality is King. Wink

OK, so we have different definitions of "majestic". You like 'survivors', I like 'garage queens'. Funny about that, you can usually find a 20 year-old garage queen when the need arises; 55 years old, not so much. You would be in heaven in California. There always seems to be bikes available that fit your description. Here are a few ...

OK, so the CX has been molested a bit. I don't know why they remove the front fender; it's a Californica thing. Cool

Thumbs Up The YDS7 is pick of the bunch. There's already a few folk importing these by the container load from the southern (dry)states. I reckon they double their money selling here in most cases.. of course there's paperwork hassle but to us they still seem cheap.

YDS7. My first proper bike (after mopeds). Loved every minute of owning it and sold it to buy an RD250.

If I knew then what I knew now...... Crying or Very sad

My first street bike was a Suzuki T350. Back when the Kawasaki 500 and Suzuki 500 Titan ruled the road. You guys take me back. Wink

Some more majesty!

However slinging some rancid army canvas satchels over the seat doth not make it worth 1600 quid..

..I don't think.
