Don't want this thread to get cobwebs on it just yet.
Here is a machine I might be tempted to look at if it was local. Front tire looks a little low. Sorry for the fuzzy pic; blame it on the owner.

Ah a classic Yamaha Bonneville - interesting lacing pattern on front wheel.. not my cup o' char but the Bike Shed toss-pots would be tripping over their oily-beards to get that. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750

Here is a nice candidate for the thread. They don't build 'em like the Magna anymore. Well, maybe they do, I'm not much into cruisers anymore. Anyone looking for a high performance cruiser would be well-advised to check out a Honda Magna, especially the 1994-2003 750cc version. It was basically a cruiser version of the VFR. The performance/price point of this machine is hard to beat.

The 600 that broke the mould (of 550 UJMs) . Nice enough and not a bad price if its as shiny close up. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750

If you can ride then it could be fun to shame some 'sports-bike' riders on one of those.. I'm probably not the man for the job though, plus my ex-wife took my ass-less chaps in the divorce. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750

Here are a couple of examples that might generate a response. Some may not have much regard for either of these bikes; one man's majestic bike is another man's turd. Especially with regard to the PC, I suppose.
This GS500 looks pretty pristine to me. The owner says he will throw in a "full body riding suit." Aerostitch? If so, and if the garment fits, that would be almost like getting the bike for free.

I post this Honda Pacific Coast because I have a lot of affection for these bikes. I had a 1998 model that I rode for 107,000 miles in seven years. It was very utilitarian, the minivan of motorcycles. 240 kg - 49 hp, it could barely get out of its own way. A 250 road bike could beat it; it was a pig. But it was a dependable, durable, loveable pig that never missed a beat. I regret parting with it.

GS500 is the classic sheep in wolf's clothing..
I've got one that's part way through a 'Rattonshaw' conversion. I might finish it one day... ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750

Shame they made such a pig's arse of the decals, talk about spoiling the ship for a ha'porth of tar, all they had to do was do an internet search and find a picture, not exactly rocket surgery. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

Oh, for sure, one of my first set of posts on here was a refurb thread on a 250 SD, that I bought as a way of reliving my youth, seen through the pinkest of rose coloured specs.
I had a series of SDs that I ran as courier bikes and I remembered them as good, solid, decent handling bikes - imagine my surprise when, 30 odd years later, I resurrected this thing and ended up with a dog slow, lardy arsed shite box of a machine, that handled like an overloaded supermarket trolley, with a wobbly wheel ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

You've obviously never ridden one, or you have a new definition of 'fun' that I've not previously come across.
See my immediately preceding post......... ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........
