Hmm
I never knew Velocette did a flat twin

Some googling shows it's probably a "Valiant"
192cc four stroke and not quite in original trim.

I don't know what else they were expecting from removing the balancing system! Laughing

I will say though, there are a lot of chains in those engines.

The family don't want all his toot and auctioning it off is better than throwing it all away.

He's been doing house clearence for years, even before he because an auctioneer.

That's scary. That could almost be an auction of my toys after I've gone. Of the things on that list I don't yet have, pretty much everything is the sort of thing I would get or like to have.

Maybe not the boats so much but if I was going to have a small motor boat, it would probably be a Sheltand.

Shame my grandpa wasn't into bikes... mostly lots of random metal tools dating back to the 40s and trash accumulated over the years

The velocette went for about twice it's actual value.

Bear in mind the are 24% fees on top of the hammer price.

The Guzzi went for about 8 grand...

Looks like a typical auction to me, even the absolute dross wasn't really cheap enough, time was a selection of old moped frames would be pocket change, not hundreds of pounds.

The 400SD and the Hinckley Bonnie weren't wildly expensive (I actually thought the Honda would go over 2K at the hammer) but by the time the buyer's premium goes on, they weren't exactly bargains either.

It's getting very hard to find vehicles at prices worth paying these days.
