Hello,

I'm a bit confused about the Oxford Oximizer 900.
I connected my battery a day ago, and since the charge was at 13.8V the Oximizer went directly into maintenance mode.
However, this morning the display said that the charge was 12.6V.
And when I disconnected and reconnected the Oximizer, it said the charge was 13.4V.

Not quite sure what to make of that. Does anyone have any similar experiences?

Thanks,

All seems healthy. The battery maintainer will apply a ‘float’ voltage of about 13.5 volts. Not to be confused with your battery’s actual voltage.

It’s likely that the Oximizer cycles between a 13.5v ‘float charge’ stage, and a ‘monitoring’ stage which would show the 12.6v true battery voltage.

As above the actual battery voltage will be 12.6v which is the voltage when no charge rate is being applied, there are 6 cells within the battery which when fully charged each produce 2.1 volts hence the 12.6v! When you have a bad cell sometimes you get 10.5v which makes it easy to determine what the fault is, a bad cell.

The other figure is the charge rate.
