Is anyone else following it?

I know it's not always the easiest event to follow, but the official Dakar 2022 website and Redbull TV are offering daily update videos, along with the (usually piss poor) Eurosport coverage

Anyhow, a great even so far, espcially the bikes, still so close at the top, with the top 10 riders separated by only 22 mins after 4 events, thats over 3000km, by comparisson the cars are separated by over 2 hours for the top 10

Also, a bit of Moto GP interest with Danilo Petrucci taking part

I'll avoid any spoilers regarding any British interest in case any of you haven't caught up with it yet

These are the links i've been using

Redbull TV, has a new episode every day (20 mins long)
https://www.redbull.com/int-en/shows/dakar-rally

Dakar 2022 site, scroll through each day of the event and watch the (extended) highlights show (10 mins)
https://www.dakar.com/en/stage-1/car

There is also a 1 hr Eurosport show every evening, but it's mostly annoying with terrible dubbed/translated interviews, and most of the show views like a "Visit Saudi" advertisment

Following on Youtube. But the commentator is pissing me off by trying to be funny, trying to fit song lyrics in or rhymes.

The Redbull TV guy commentator is ok, though the coverage (unsuprisingly) is a bit "Team Redbull" heavy

Lost all interest when it moved to Saudi.

Was an avid follower for years and years.

They soured the event...okay maybe the unsafe countries it passed through started it yet it still holds onto the Dakar brand name courtesy of ...oh blah blah blah.

Moaning aside I'm chuffed that Petrux is holding his own despite some nasty injuries he picked up prior to the event.

Rumor is after Dakar Danilo Petrucci is heading to the states to race. I really hope that ends up happening.
