As someone who strongly believes in democracy I recognise that there is a very strong demand for communism among some proportion of the population so maybe it's time to try it out, but in just one town, Edinburgh for instance.

Rules
1. If you live there all of your assets must be there. Undclared assets get taken by UK gov
2. After 5 years the rest of the country votes on whether it was a success or not. i.e keep it or scrap it
3. 1st Jan every year all resources are re-evenly distributed
4. Budget is spent according to a referendum held in the town every year
5. Tax rates have to be at or above UK levels (prevents non-communists trying to scam the system)
6. Anything deemed scamming or avoiding means total seizure of assets internationally and given to UK gov

My prediction
1. All the wealthy or upper middle class people will leave
2. All the homeless, druggies etc will move there
3. After 5 years it will be like a zombie horror film in the city

What's Edinburgh done to upset you?

Luton now, I'd go with that, it can hardly get any worse.

An interesting thought. Can I suggest somewhere else like Dover for example?

It needs to be somewhere with sufficient upper middle class people. Brighton is another good example. These are the sorts of people who praise communism as the solution to all of the world's problems, well lets give them a chance to prove us right (realistically).

Then millennials and gen z can compare Corbyn's fantasy against the reality Laughing

Yeah, except you'd struggle to slip a fag paper in between the differences. Trouble with these theortical systems is that they morph into something completely different, i.e. EEC

You flatter yourself too much Sir. My interest in you is slight and fleeting, i.e. it only appears when you insult me.

As for wanking off over you, you'd have to send a nude but I'm not sure even that would be enough... Thumbs Up

I don't know why you mentioned Millennials. Millennials are now in their 30s. I am a millennial and I don't personally know any millennials at all who want communism.

The only person in my entire life that I know who supports communism is a Generation X guy in his 40's.

Because millennials and gen z are where the greatest support is.

Corbyn is a communist, but he does often try to adopt alternative labels to get wider appeal, a bit like Tommy Robinson really.

1) Restrict movement of selected groups of people (the rich, politically active etc.). Make it illegal for people to departure from the country without a permit of some sort. Do not apply this rule to those who are a burden on the social system, meaning pretty much the elderly/pensioners. They already worked hard, gave the gov. all the money, now the gov. does not need them. - We did that before.

2) What homeless, druggies etc.? Make it illegal for people to be homeless, or alternatively, make it illegal for people to be unemployed. Homeless, druggies will either get a job or end up in prison and/or psychiatric ward. - We did that before

3) I've got nothing, really. Laughing

They're proposing an "exit tax" in California... retrospectively! Yup, if you've left within the last 10 years they want their pound of flesh:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-california-plan-to-chase-away-the-rich-then-keep-stalking-them-11608331448

Worth pointing out that state taxes on income approach European levels in California. That doesn't sound too bad but that's on top of Federal taxes Shocked A reason why people are fleeing to places like Texas and Florida 'cos state income taxes are zero.

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" is an easy sell to the young. They lack experience so there's little you can ask of them in terms of ability and they haven't had time to accumulate resources so their needs are more immediate.

Pretty sure he's actually a self-declared one too isn't he? It's quite interesting to look into the political pasts of many of the top Labour figures, the causes they have espoused and views they have given. Harder to find them saying later it was just the madness of youth.

Edinburgh is only a hairs breadth from being communist anyway. They generally elect the looniest of looney left councils. Have done for years. They'd be dangerous if they didn't immediately squander any money they get on fuckwitted and badly procured vanity projects then spend the rest of the year bitching about having no money.

If we're gonna do it, the place to use is Glastonbury.
