FFS. Can we shoot hoarders please.

I can't do my hospital dialysis runs tomorrow as I haven't got enough diesel and every petrol station is empty. Some of my clients could actually die tomorrow. (slight hysterical over exageration)

Well, I'm glad I filled my central heating tank the other weekend. I was swithering about waiting for the price to come down...

Fkin tossers Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil !
Our local filling station was full all day yesterday with queues out onto the road.
Dickheads didn’t care that they were blocking the road Evil or Very Mad .

EDIT: the sad thing is, those of us who have a genuine need to travel as opposed to just driving to the shops to buy tacky nonsense, are being forced into a situation where they also have to hoard fuel. Sad

My usual one was empty yesterday too - very unusual in normal times - which gave me pause for thought. So is this actually happening again then? FFS

I rode in to town yesterday, enjoying the sunshine, no problems with any of the petrol stations on the way and my usual el-cheapo in Kennington was a good 7 pence per litre cheaper than everyone else Smile

Went from Sittingbourne to Whitstable yesterday
and to Margate today.

Plenty of station with minimal if any one waiting.

on the way back i did notice the station as Morrisons was very busy.
Asda station no more than a 100m down the road had a couple of cars filling up and no one waiting.

There was just one day last week where the biggest idiots in town queued for fuel, but everybody else must have decided not to fall for that nonsense again. Mind you, the news media haven’t been stirring it this time.

I was unaware of any of this until the local FB "community group" (with something like 25k members) start spouting on about petrol stations running out. No doubt that compounds the problem. I went out for a ride yesterday at dawn and only had a few litres in the bottom of the tank, fortunately the petrol station was empty of people and full with fuel (at least, all the pumps seemed to be in use).

Begs the question though . . . how ethical would it be to filter to the front of a queue for a petrol pump. Mr. Green I suspect in reality not very and likely to result in a punch-up

All the old grunters that live around here have filled up their cars and jerrycans, and put their cars back in their the garage.

I was able to get fuel this morning, at my local filling station.

This is the first time for ages that my local filling station has not been busy.

Fkng grumpy old grunters Mad euthanasia sounds appealing for a lot of them Mad .

Surely most of them still have fuel hoarded from the last round of panic buying?

Apparently e10 would of gone off by now so they probably chucked it in the nearest drain.

That's cheap around here. Where was that? I've seen very few under 1.50 in Lanarkshire.

Approximately 7p a litre more than it was near a decade ago. Perspective is relative, and all that.

It's not a true barometer obviously. But if someone would have told you petrol would be ~10p a litre more expensive from 2012 to 2022, you'd probably have said they were joking.

Before I get hate for my vehicle choice, note this was the first time I've filled the car since November.

For the first time ever I had the pump shut off at £99 without filling the tank last week. 152.9p/l
