Basically have no ego.
'There is always someone better than you'.

Why does it matter to some people so much.

Case example:

Left work the other night, over too a lad in a chavved up car. First chance he got over took.

Queue 3days of 'abuse'

Tonight pootling long (30mile range for 60mile drive), he came up next to me and sat there. So entertained him, up to 75. And let it sail past.

Clearly it means something too some people, but just can't understand it.

As a one-off incident I’d let it go, but 3 days worth is intimidation. Report him to the police.

He’s over-compensating for an inferiority complex.

Comparing car performance to bikes you'd have to be a moron to think anything short of 350bhp would touch anything over 600cc. Some people are just douches I guess.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Wave at him in an exaggerated way each time you see him, blow kisses as often as you can. Ask him for a date, let him stay in front of you until the lights are on red then just filter past, then wait and let him over take you again until the next set of lights or hold up then just filter past.

Or let the police know what he is up to.

Not gonna lie though there's something satisfying about being a really fat guy on an ancient motorcycle and leaving a brand new £50k plus Merc for dust.

Performance for £ bikes are untouchable until electric cars came along. You can get a £65k Tesla that will smoke a £130k plus Ferrari off the line now.

Still are really......

It was calculated that the Model S uses about 1.1 kWh of power for one quarter-mile dash, which it completes in 12.4 seconds at 111.3 mph (178 km/h)

Yamaha YZF-R1 specs, 0-60, quarter mile, lap times
https://fastestlaps.com › Vehicles › Yamaha
Performance ; 0 - 160 mph, 12.2 s ; 1/4 mile, 10.1 s @ 146.6 mph ;

OK an R1 but that's comparable.

An R6 is faster too

standing quarter mile in a wild 10.89 seconds with a terminal of 133 mph

Even a Honda CBR500R will give it a scare......

The 0-100 mph time is clocked in 14.17 and onto the quarter mile in 13.51 at 98 mph.

Bikes are still king. Chequered Flag

Over the quarter mile yes, but from 0 - 60 the bike is smoked by the Tesla and doesn't run the risk of looping itself. Let's be honest, no cunt is taking their bike to a drag strip to do quarter mile pulls. Real world is beating people off the jump at lights and the Tesla beats the bike there all day, every day.

But you can still filter back past him at the next set of lights

Very true mate. God I love filtering, especially on the motorway when its' all backed up for miles into the city centre and you just cruise through it all. Brilliant. Cool

I suspect it is more to do with what it is used for than its vital statistics...

100%. Though these days I tend to just sit behind them for a while, let them tire themselves out trying to get away, and then overtake when they give up. Mainly because I don't trust cagers driving like idiots behind me, and if I'm not feeling it I can roll off and let them go without getting rammed up the arse. But the other reason is imagining their face when they realise they've been unable to lose a 28 year old bike that looks like it's made out of bits of other crashed bikes...

The folly of youth? I've had BMWs, Golf GTIs and a surprisingly nippy Ford Escort and had enormous fun rinsing the engine for all it's worth. Mostly stick to the speed limits on the bike now... mostly.

At a lofty 5'8" I'm fecked then...

Anybody over 5'10" who feels the need to belittle those of more 'compact' stature needs their ego massaging because they can't stand the thought of people comparing their life failures to those whom they consider physically inferior. Laughing Laughing Laughing

If I am 100% honest at 6ft 5in I would rather take 7 inches off my height and put it on me cock instead Laughing
