out on my travels Wednesday night i spotted a motorcycle cop.
parked up and looking like he was waiting to ruin someones day.
such a shame that it was cold dark and raining Very Happy

it got me thinking that its probably been a couple of years since i last saw one.

maybe im just lucky? but they do seem a bit scarce in my neighbourhood these days.

It’s one of those things Evil or Very Mad that turns up the MOMENT you transgress in the tiniest way and ruins your day!

Was behind a motorcycle cop a few days ago on the dual carriageway. We both got stuck behind a BMW in the fast lane going all of 50 mph, took her about a mile to see the cop behind her, when she finally moved over the cop just drew level and stared at her while shaking his head. Was pretty funny, but she didn't take the hint cos as soon as we both passed her she pulled back out into the fast lane and carried on holding up the queue of traffic she'd caused. Cop just fucked off into the distance.

Police officers on motorcycles? Loads in town, usually escorting diplomats and MPs.

They do tend to be seen more often when in the city. London town, escorting VIPs, etc. Haven't been to London in years, and I don't feel an urgent compulsion to visit any time soon. I used to really love the museums, the squares and also the parks. However, as of the past decade or so, it isn't my vibe at all. Having said that, not all bike cops are the same. Some will be mission weirdos e.g. diplomatic protection, and others will be common sense traffic cops. They will also appear, like clockwork, in Wales when summer comes around. I think a lot of bike meets got cancelled over the past couple of years, and the organisers carried over the tickets bought by the prospective attendees into 2022. So, as this year gets going, we'll probably see a lot of enthusiastic riding, and bike cops laying in wait. There will be speeding and there will be bike cops, probably. Spotting the cop will be sort of like spotting a rare species. Laughing

Last time I was in M and P in Swansea there were about 3 or 4 M/C coppers having lunch. Fair play, it was an absolutely foul day so they were enjoying lunch in a warm and dry environment, and arguably placing themselves in an ideal location to liaise with other motorcyclists, should they have any queries.

Last week we called in to a bespoke chippy on the A40 near Fishguard, 5 m/c coppers in the car park, 2 or 3 marked up bikes and 2 or 3 bikes in black ( unmarked or for training?) As I went to sit down they rode off heading north, I'm spotting a food related trend here...

I have seen them buying their own gloves in M+P - many years ago admittedly.
