As the title says. I'm doing it. Got the bike (2011 BMW R1200GS adventure) getting it together at the moment, and shipping myself off in the foreseeable future.

Sydney > Perth > Cape town > Egypt > Arse end of eastern europe > UK

Are you doing a sea passage between Perth and Cape Town and skipping all those nice little tinpot dictatorship countries in South East Asia? Which, presumably, for the geographically challenged among us would also mean that you wouldn't go further east than Turkey on the Euro leg but you would get to fight your way through Kradmelder and his mates?
