Add spanked mint leaves. (Cup 4-5 mint leaves in the palm of one hand then slap the leaves with the other hand. It bursts the cells and the mint flows out faster.)

Not as sweetie as Amurula.

I live in fairly close proximity to a pub mostly frequented by inconsiderate whankirs.
Hopefully it will burn down soon and be replaced by an old folks home.

Well, I'm off to the brand new pub right next to the marina tonight. I'm hoping it will be an enjoyable experience. I'm expecting another chain/foody/overpriced destination aimed at the 'oooh, do people actually live on those little boats' hoorah henrys and henriettas from the expensive development across the canal.

The name of the pub is 'The Warbler On the Wharf'. Among boaters it's already called 'The Tit on the Towpath.'

It looks like the kind if place the Skybox tv ad family would go when they have a day off from binging Disney. The establishment of a Marxist state would put an end to all that though. Just sayin' Laughing

Eight quid around here for a pint of bitter and half a lager, couple of weeks ago we were in Wetherspoons in Barnstaple and a pint of Shipyard IPA and half a Carlings was £3.99. As this was a pretty sound investment we made the most of it.

I might move to Barnstaple, except it is rather a dump.

Yep, the fellow clientele were pretty appalling, particularly the under 15s.
But Shipyard IPA does deaden the effect slightly.

Anything deadens the effect but the problem with Weatherspoons, it deadend the already brain dead.

I mistakenly went in one down Uxbridge way and they said 'No dogs'. FFS, the dog with us was quite pleased actually, he didn't look happy about having to lie on the carpet, it was disgusting.

Back to 'The Tit on the Towpath'.

As expected, very clean, very organised, food here Sir, drinks only over there Sir. But at least they allowed dogs in the non food areas.

Typical beers bordering on beardy types. Estrada, Moretti, some Polish stuff I can't pronounce. Doombar etc. etc. Not much change from £13 fro two pints of Estrella.

It was absolutly heaving as well.

When I just want to get hammered I get two bottles of Amaretto from Aldi, their £6.99 each and 22%. Sweet as fuck so you can glug them down and get proper wasted.

If it's just about getting shitfaced, there was a nasty little trick that I had been known to do when I was far too young to know any better.
Take a bottle of Woods 100 proof rum (it'll last for weeks using this method, cost effect for the tight wads), a teaspoon, load said teaspoon with rum and snort up the sniffer. Not only will this get one shitfaced pretty darn quick and for very little financial output it has the added bonus of putting hairs on your chest. Laughing

In the age of Covid ive discovered that if you spray a face mask with alcohol then put it on you can get a simerler effect, plus technically it's not drinking at work.

This appears to be the model that the olfd family brewers are following.. Wells and Co in Bedford the same.

Posh 'em up so the wife/girlfriend will like it/not be offended and charge the overhead back to the customer at 5 quid a pint.
Result - detestable shit-holes for the weak and pussy-whipped. Fuck 'em. I used to like Charles Wells pubs but they've all been closed or buggered over in the past 20 years.
