Illuminated flasher lamps

Have recently noticed some new reg bikes have all four indicators lit up
is this a new thing on the british market only ever seen this before on bikes in america

Constantly illuminated front indicators isn't that new, been on (some) Hondas for about 7 years now. Rears are a bit rarer, but fairly sure a colleague's 2016 Sportster has them (just two lights that serve tail/brake/indicator functions, with no central tail/stop light).

Personally I quite like the front ones on my VFR; think it gives the bike a bit more visual presence.

Is it an import? I ask because I have had 3 American import GoldWings and all had the indicators on about half power continuously except when flashing when they went 'normal'.

Another thing I noted then (but might have changed by now) that import Hondas all had orange reflectors on the side of the fork legs. UK models didn't.
