Run Off the Road by a Stolen Car Chased by Police Helicopter

Hey folks. This is my first post to a motorcycle forum, though Lord knows I've come begging for diagnostic help a thousand times.

Apologies if this kind of thing isn't allowed, but I'm sharing a fundraiser to replace my bike, which was destroyed yesterday when I was forced to bottom out on a curb or be hit by a smashed up stolen car running a red light.

I'm an experienced rider (I've dropped'em, fallen, been hit by cars and trucks multiple times - thank you Judo class - cross-continent a couple times), so I didn't go down but bottoming out cracked the case and immediately dumped all my oil all over my rear tire. So I'm slipping and sliding around like a drunk walrus on a hockey rink, until I pull over and shoot the short video in the link that follows.

I just got hired as a substitute teacher by two school districts and a recruiter. Without my bike I'm going to have to resign from the districts as they are practically unreachable by public transit. I'm hoping the motorcycling community at large can help me replace my bike this time. It's been a tough few years for everyone, with lots of loss.

In the UK, you'd claim for the damage off the third party liability insurance of the vehicle that caused the accident. Doesn't matter if it was stolen at the time.

Don't know if it works the same way in the US. Over here, even if the police decide to ram a stolen car off the road, they claim for the damage to their police car off the owners insurance.

In the uk there's also the motor insurers bureau who pay out when damage is caused by an uninsured driver.

Your best bet is to move out of that third world country you currently reside in.
