I've been riding for nearly 25 years and I've never been hit by a car or a truck... But that's happened to you more than once?

Could only afford liability! The goal is always to have better coverage when there's enough income, yeah.

Yeah I dunno! Could be daily riding all seasons in dense urban centers, but yeah I've been hit by cars twice and a truck once.

And those are just the times I've gone down - a few more vans, cars, have grazed me even on freeways. Bad luck I guess.

His profile says he is from California.

Not surprised at all, most of that states urban areas are a third world shit hole.

In the UK, you'd claim for the damage off the third party liability insurance of the vehicle that caused the accident. Doesn't matter if it was stolen at the time.

Don't know if it works the same way in the US. Over here, even if the police decide to ram a stolen car off the road, they claim for the damage to their police car off the owners insurance.

In the uk there's also the motor insurers bureau who pay out when damage is caused by an uninsured driver.

Your best bet is to move out of that third world country you currently reside in.

Sixteen years later and he's not back yet.
I'd like to see him on a bike with L plates. Hasn't happened and probably won't: not good for the tough guy image. Cool

Why would Arnie bother with all the hassle of getting a British/European license? L plates aren't a thing here in the US and most states might as well give their licenses away with bags of M&M's for what good some of their training requirements are. Freedums innit. Rolling Eyes

Shit, he won't even bother to get a California license. Why would he when it is "up to the responding officer's discretion to cite the driver." Maybe he doesn't like M&M's, plain, or peanut.

Don't be daft, everyone likes M&M's.

And thats why the US is one of the few countries in the western world where you can't swap their license for a British one

I have to agree, but then I'm sure many of our illustrious citizens from foreign shores haven't got one either. The school run round my way is frigtening. Bumper cars have nothing on a black Mama in a people carrier.

So basically you're asking for money because your bike got damaged as a result of a smashed up stolen car running a red light ?

All the evidence we have for that is a video of your bike pissing oil and your cool story bro.

I is a bit sceptical Sad

Having said that, I see you have nearly reached your $2,600 target so it's probably just me.

Either that or Americans are a bit stupid.

K den.

Whilst we're at it that visor wiper thing seems a bloody good idea. Someone should organise a gofund me for it.
