I think some of you may enjoy this nice video. It's absolutely right up my street - these people have fantastic taste in bikes.

The rest of the videos on that channel are fairly enlightening, and I reckon they may help to make sense of the bosozuku bike trend. It appears that very few of their bikes are extreme renditions of Nina Mona style... The Mad Max type of Australian customs appear to be fairly popular, and it's a look that's well-balanced and well-developed, with a good sense of judgment, i.e. I really dig some of these people's bikes! At a human/social level, I would remark that they seem to have a very similar profile in their bike scene to ours here in the UK. They have their cafe racers, trendies, fakers, etc. but also some genuinely interesting genuine eccentrics and afficionados. Very nice-looking channel! I doubt it's a representative sample, i.e. they're all rich kids (probably) but nevertheless it's very interesting, with the type of bikes they revere, and the sense of heritage and continuity they seem to have vis a vis the Japanese bike scene.

If you want to watch these videos, switch on subtitles and go to settings to auto-translate to English.

Laughing Oh, if you check out the other videos on that channel it's quite enlightening. Some of these guys have been riding for years, and others just say that they've been riding for years. Not that it matters. But the latter group ruined an entire video, where this custom Japanese bike builder and engineer who works only on vintage Z1s was explaining his thing. He explained, he was putting modern forks on these old classic bikes (clearly his clients were paying suitably) and, in real-world performance terms, nothing could touch those bikes. I could believe that. Only then, his patrons tried to enact a burnout by the coast... Even with the help of the tide, it was a total fail, and a shameful thing to witness, and it ruined the video. Notwithstanding the fact that they had sponsored some truly professional, awesome custom builds worth tens of thousands each. Anyway, just goes to show that nothing is really all that different from here (UK).
