Right I bought this looong discontinued a2b Metro last year, but in Feb I took the battery off after a trip out and it never came back on, battery and bike both were just sat there dead as a doornail in the garden.

I took it to an ebike shop, after a week I was told it's likely the BMS chip?
I got an electronics guru to look at the board who said 'yep you fucked it' but couldn't actually see damage.

Question is does anyone on here deal in repairs? Anyone I can send this board to for an inspection and possible fix?
The bike is otherwise fine, actually I quite like the old relic but it's sitting spare in the shed with a brand new £75 rear tyre on, I bought a cheap ebike to replace it for work but it feels like a waste. I'd love to get it going, maybe sold if it doesn't cover the same distance - it is a heavy bit of kit.

BMS boards aren't much money. Didn't any of your experts offer to replace it?!

Any idea what state the battery pack was in before it went pop? If it wasn't holding charge probably better to get someone to do a full rebuild , new batteries + BMS.

It was working fine, to be honest I thought a wire had come loose or something internally at first.

No they didn't.
It's still a very new industry on the repairs and service side unfortunately.
