Not sure if we had a Wordle thread yet, but let me ask this anyway.

Do you think it's best to guess the answer in the shortest time, or the least # of guesses?

I appreciate that doing both is the mark of the Ubermensch, but most of us aren't that, so what's second best? My mrs takes a while but uses far fewer guesses, whereas I just storm in and use up guesses like a total tool boy - but usually get the answer more quickly.

Our stats and streaks are about the same (actually she's better than me tbf). I'm currently @ 97% with a 36 max streak and current streak of 26. I have no idea if that's any good, btw.

I go for fewer guesses rather than speed, have the same starter words that hit the letter frequency nicely, and if there's a number of possibilities with the combos on show, find a burner word that will rule out the most letters in one go.

Annoyingly it breaks your streak if you miss a day, think my highest so far is 79. Yet to fail on a word, but had a few squeaky 6 out of 6 attempts.

Tried Quordle?

Yeah I've missed a day by just forgetting - and fvcked my streak up that way.

There've definitely been some I haven't got. I did get rupee mind you, which was a contentious stupid one if you ask me.

Haven't tried quordle tbh but the mrs is always doing them and is really into sudoku as well (and is now claiming to have developed a system Rolling Eyes ). She's telling me this while I'm sh1tposting rubbish on bcf and other forums, and saying ooh that's nice dear. Well done!

Wordle? Least number of guesses, obviously. I once got it in two by freaky luck.

There’s a horrible one for maths geniuses called Nerdle.

However I quite like the film-guessing game. https://framed.wtf/
