Hey all, just joined the forum.

I'm Andy, i don't have my licence yet but it's booked in for next month(when i get a weekend off work)

have been wanting a bike for years, decided that when my dad fell ill to live a bit and not sit on the fence and just do it.

so i'm going to get a cheap scooter type bike to learn and get through my test on. i plan to get into cruiser/cafe racer types as they do appeal to me tbh.

i did see a bike on Ebay and bought it(it's a project as i love tinkering with things-previously built an electric bike and scooter from scratch) it's a cruiser type kmyco zing for around 200 quid, it turns over but was a bit tatty, so i've stripped it down and am having a bit of fun with it, this is a bit of a project so i cleaned it up a bit, will probably post a bit about it in a thread at some point.

anyway thats a bit about me!

Pop the before, progress and after photos in the "Show and Tell" area of the forum. In the throwaway society we live in now, it's great for someone to rejuvenate something more humble. Thumbs Up

Good decision, life is for living - you don't want to be thinking "I wish I'd done this . . . " at a later point in life when you can't (for whatever reason).

Hi Andy Thumbs Up

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you're pretty set on a cruiser style bike but I'll say it to you the same as I say to all noobies - don't limit yourself with preconceptions about what you want now, get yourself some seat time and see what you like / dislike about the bikes you're riding on your training and go from there Smile

Good luck with it all, and try to enjoy yourself.
