I have recently purchased a 2015 CB125F, it is coming up for its 600 mile service, this is an oil change and a valve clearance check.

My problem is, I cannot find the valve clearance values, or a workshop manual. I can find them for CBF125's CBR125's and CG125's. But i cannot find it for the newer CB125F.

Any help will be much appreciated. Perhaps from somebody who works at a Honda dealership or specialist?

Very Happy

****UPDATE****

I contacted local honda dealership and they provided me with the correct values, hope this helps anyone who needs it in the future!

VALVE CLEARANCE: (From Cold)

IN:
0.08 ± 0.02 mm (0.003 ± 0.001 in)

EX:
0.12 ± 0.02 mm (0.005 ± 0.001 in)

Typically valve clearances are .1 of a mm for a exhaust, .05 for an inlet for a shimmed engine, but can vary from bike to bike.

You need to find the correct ones for your bike.

My service history book has an "A = Adjust" in the valve clearance box for the 186 mile service after new. Next one was 621 miles and adjusted again. 1242 miles and adjusted again.

Fek sakes no wonder I was always at the bloody shop more than I rode the thing. Do I win? Laughing

The first service at 600 miles is an oil change and a valve clearance check. I can't imagine they will need adjusting, however I cannot check them if I don't know what measurement they are supposed to be!

Also, I think 142 quid for the dealership to carry this out is a bit steep! Crying or Very sad

Judging by the intervals (first at 650 miles, then every 2500 after that), I would imagine that it is tappet type.

The old school way of adjusting them is, if you can't discern any movement at tdc but if you tap it sharply with you finger you can hear a tap, the clearence is jst right.

Any visable movement means the clearence is too big, no sound mans too tight.

I take it you don't recognise the difference between a CBF125 and a CB125F?

Is this a congenital problem or is it limited to Hondas?
