I used to use it a lot. But then they changed the website (10 years ago?) because of the current trend of the web and it became shit. I hate the modern web.

To answer the OP's original question, You make groaning noises when doing things that used to be easy. Cool

As for photobucket, is it still going? I dumped that when they tried to charge for the pleasure.

Trendy Bangladeshi bloke at work (shoes no socks, I mean!) turned up for work a few years ago in a black roll neck top. All the oldies in the room started humming the Cadburys Milk Tray tune loudly and doing diving out of window motions.

I had to show him on youtube what we were all laughing about.

For the youngns

They put their image hosting subscription fees up 1800% overnight then wondered why their business went immediately down the toilet.

They broke SO much web content which had the images hosted on their servers, especially in bulletin boards. I put loads of howtos on this site with images hosted on photobucket and none of the pictures work now.

I had a similar one (it was me being all... Eh?) when someone talked about seeing a film at the theatre. Or is that just me being common? I thought a theatre was where posh people saw real folk act, scum go to cinema and watch explosions.

At the 'pictures' Cool

Was the person saying 'theatre' young? Because they could be watching too much American TV where they call the cinema a theatre still.

When none of your vet nurses have seen Pulp Fiction (because scarily, it came out before most of them were born) and therefore think I'm just being weird/offensive when I come out with lines from the film.

When your receptionist has never heard of Radiohead.

I know I'm getting old, I'm even starting to find my own bike annoyingly loud. I spent about 15 minutes at 130mph
on a closed Mexican road last night, which is always fun on an unfaired naked bike with a tendency to head shake Shocked
Watching the (rear facing) footage back last night it occurred to me just how loud it is in top gear at 100 plus. No wonder
I never do any distance riding on it. The MT10 will be a lot quieter for as long as it's in warranty at least...

It used to be you felt old when ppl didn't get Star Wars references now it's ppl not knowing IT Crowd references Shocked Even "...and that's what she said!" is getting a little thread bare.

I thought up some milestones on this when i was a youf.

The first one would be when the Blue Peter presenters are younger than me.

The second one would be when some footballer/hi flying exec/etc. is on TV and his date of birth is given after the year 2000.

Unfortunately the ship has long since sailed on both of those now Sad

Haven't watched any broadcast TV in about two years now. Do not miss it one bit. I'm a white, male who's well over 40 so TV
isn't for the likes of me anymore. Plenty on the box if you're a blue haired alphabet person and many, many TV shows
and adverts telling you how thoroughly welcome you are if you don't need suntan lotion. Let's not forget MSMs fanatical Covid
propaganda which is continuing on at full pace I shouldn't wonder. I'd need a new TV about every three weeks if I watched
any of the shite they broadcast to them. I'd keep a pile of bricks next to my chair for convenience.

I think I can remeber my grandparents saying that; a moving picture this amazing new technology. Isn't that an Americanism? The Oscars have best picture and we have best film.

Nope two Brits in their 40's, but I did wonder if it was the American influence.

Americans have a Movie Theatre, Brits have a Cinematograph.
