Hi!

Maybe someone will lead me on the right track.

I had a small fall over with a new Keeway Superlight 125cc. AFTER this event, I put it in the garage for half a year and did not touch it.

Now the bike won't start. The starter turns well but the fuel pump does not pump. However, when the pump is attached to a separate battery, it continues to function normally. So something is not giving her a signal to work.

Anyone have an idea where to look or maybe someone had the same?
Maybe there is an accident sensor (tip over sensor) in these motors that cut off the fuel pump?

Thank you in advance for all suggestions ..

Regards

Rob

A lot of modern bikes have tip over sensors
If yours has one, I'd check that it isn't stuck in the fail state.

I dont know the bike but will make a guess that possibly
the sensor sends a signal to the ECU which in turn switches the pump on/off.
It may use a different systen so only a manual or in depth examination
will tell you for sure

The related connectors would need to be checked too of course
the fall may have shaken some of them loose.

According to the service manual if "fuel pump not work" check the main relay, crank position sensor, ECU and cables. I would also add to that check the safety cut-outs - clutch and kickstand - ignition and kill switches, main fuses.

If you're going over it with a multimeter bear in mind than battery negative is always the black wire, main power is red and switched power is red/white.

As other's have said, my money is on tip-over sensor. It's still under warranty, might be worth a punt with the dealership. If warranty won't cover accidental damage they might take a lenient view and extend a lot of good will in the costs to fix it again.

Unless it's a very recent change I don't think these have tip over sensors. Would it be something built into the ECU module?
