Anyone know if the speakers and mic pre-installed in the Schuberth C4 Pro can be "re-wired" or bodged, to work with Intercom units besides the Sena SC1 designed for the helmet?

The reviews I've read of the SC1 aren't great and most importantly it seems unable to operate with other brand intercoms.... I'll probably buy a different brand and have to remove/replace the included speakers/mic in the helmet, just seems such a waste! Shame they don't have some kind of universal connectivity, but hey ho!

google found this. Any use ?
"Apparently the comms that come with my Schuberth C4 Pro are made by Sena and my Armor 13 connected to it with no problems. I wouldn't expect any problems connecting to any BT device as I'm sure the BT on the Armor 13 would conform to all the relevant standards. It can connect with BT just fine to Escort or Valentine One radar detectors, for example."

Thanks, good find, but I think (assume?) that this refers to the poster already installing the SENA SC1 intercom in his helmet and then BT connecting to other devices from that.
My query is more about if I can add a different intercom to my helmet and use the existing speakers/mic installed in the C4 Pro helmet.
(Hope that makes sense)

Freecom 4+ Cardo unit does communicate with the C4 Pro helmet Sena comms, but is not as easily or as reliably as with another cardo unit. Kept cutting out, range was shorter.

I have a Cardo Freecom 4+
My mate has a Cardo Freecom 4+ on another helmet
My mate has a C4 Pro helmet with the Sena comms.

So can verify my information.

Cheers

I think some of the Interphone comms are made by SENA, might be worth researching those, me and the mrs have the UCOM16
