Hello, 3 months ago I bought a Derbi Senda SM 50. A month later I installed a derestricted exhaust and a CDI, while riding home it died on me at aprox. 10-11k rpms, (its like turning off ignition mid ride) gave it a kick, started with no problems. A week or two later I went on a ride, and it died again, this time it didn't start, for a few days couldnt figure out what was wrong, changed the CDI to an old one and it started, before even getting a chance to leave the garage the throttle cable broke, replaced the throttle cable, and the carb needle clamp went missing, replaced it, and about a month later it went missing again, installed a new clamp and finally I was able to ride.Earlier this night, I was riding and my Senda and it died on me again, at aprox 10-11k rpms, and wouldnt start. The compression feels the same, the spark was there, but the spark plug that I replaced a day ago had a bright white top, replaced it with 2 other spark plugs, still nothing, unplugged a fuel hose the fuel was running. One thing that I noticed before leaving is that the speedo lights don't light up anymore when I give it a kick, but when I turn the key the indicator light turn on. Does anyone have any idea what should I check or replace?

How do you lose clamps?

You cannot test compression without a compression tester. Are you filling it with 2T oil like you are supposed to?

The speedo lights are a red herring, if you have a spark, you have a spark.

Have you tried putting on the stuff that the original manufacturers spent fuck loads of money designing specifically for this application?

I mightve dropped the clamps when dissasembling the carb. The compression feels the same as before, but I am planning to get a compression tester to check it. My 2t has oil injection. I only have replaced the exhaust and the CDI, I did replace the CDI to an old one.
