For me, the typical power band of a 2T is a metaphor for the ownership experience; very entertaining but in a very specific way. As I don't have either infinite funds or garage space, that means I can't afford to have such specialised machinery, so the answer for me is "no". However, that is the only blocker - if I had the space/money/time to ride more bikes, I'd have one, even if just for the nostalgic smell (granted, it's not easy to smell it so much while riding though).

Obviously the guy I was behind on the weekend. He'd taken a Harley (or similar) cruiser, and shoved a two stroke in it. Looked like a bog standard cruiser, but sounded (and smelled) bloody amazing. Not to mention the laugh factor of seeing a tractor but with a load of brrraaaaaaaapppp.

Don't think I'd have much of a "use" for a two stroke personally as all my riding is road (mostly commute) so the extra maintenance and lack of wide powerband would be a hinderance, but I can definitely appreciate em.

I still do.

Never really got on with four strokes as I hate engine braking and even with 120 plus BHP they still ain't that mad. But they are practical and cheaper to run so needs must. Can't beat a mad 50-60 mile run out on the 350 though, shift light in every gear, doing wheelies / angles in town and generally behaving in a way that will ruin motorcycling for everyone.

Don't know if I'd like to own one, but certainly interested in taking a close look and a ride on a Bultaco Metrella. Never paid any attention to these bikes when they were actually on the market, but as time has passed, I find myself strangely attracted to these machines.

Never had one, but those 250cc race bikes look fun (not that I would probably buy one)

They can be fun in their own way. But all my riding is commuting. At the minute the one that does mid 70's mpg average is my main machine for economy purposes.

I was looking at the 2020 model Suzuki TS185ER as they're still made and sold in Japan and New Zealand/Austria etc - but UK Suzuki dealer at the time said it was impossible to order one. Probably due to Euro emissions maybe (?- unsure on that one as a friend of mine has a 15 plate Jawa). I don't think i'd have actually done it though, I have one already and is tax and MOT exempt so...

i miss them. when i started looking for a bike a couple of years ago my first choice was 2 strokes. then i saw the price they go for now
dont think ill be getting my hands on an RG500 any time soon.

but a bike is just a toy for me. i have a car for doing the grown up stuff.
