I just cut out this 18" long shape from 1/8" mild steel with my home made CNC plasma table. Here it is along with a photo of a real Ducati Panigale.

I used to love playing with plasma cutters. Sadly the ones we had on ship were not programmable. If it wasn't straight line cuts it had to be done by hand. Still way neater than a gas axe though!
