Bought a new Keeway Superlight 125 a couple of days ago. Everything's great, except for something that started happening after the second or third ride.

The bike revs up to +-3k RPM after I start it. If I give it some throttle, it drops, and then starts revving even higher. This continues until I put it into gear - there's a loud *bonk* sound from the back, and it calms down. As soon as I give it even a little throttle, though, it starts revving uncontrollably, all over again.

Today, after doing all of that for some time, it started burping and "coughing", as well.

Checked the vacuum, that seems fine. I put in some 95 into it, thought that might be the issue, but I highly doubt it, since that's the petrol that it should take, no problem.

What in the world is wrong with it? Could it be the carburetor?

For context, the bike is brand new, 2021 model.

EDIT: Forgot to mention one, crucial detail - the bike had fallen on its side once, while stationary. It was not on.

It shouldn't be doing that. It's under warranty, take it back in.

Let's just say that I'm in a peculiar situation where that's not really a viable option for me, and I'd much rather fix it. I just need to figure out what's wrong with it.

Until I'm presented with evidence to the contrary...

This is the first time in my life that someone has called me a potential thief - I guess that's the internet for you.

Alright, I guess I need to type out a boring text for your highness, so that my reputation would be clear?

My "peculiar situation" is actually very boring - it's my first bike, I've never driven a manual, the dealer that I've bought it from is located on the other side of the country (I'm not from the US). So, I wouldn't drive it there myself. Additionally, I have zero free time to go through the return bike / wait for new one / go through the entire registration process again, and lastly - there are already a couple of things done to the bike that would likely void my warranty (I haven't looked into it, really - why would I, if I don't consider that an option?).

There you go - that's my "peculiar situation". I came to this forum to ask a very specific question - why do I find myself defending my status as a non-criminal against a stranger? Please, if you can't answer my original question, just keep your conspiracy theories to yourself.

P.s.: You said "until I'm presented with evidence to the contrary <...>". Do you really think I will dox my identity / any personal information, and send you proof, just because you have your "theories"? To a completely random individual on the internet? FFS.

You ruined it by cutting bits off and sticking a stupid brown thin seat on it didn't you?

What have you done to it which might void the warranty?

You say the dealer you bought it from is located on the other side of the country and that you're not from the US, what country are you in and why not take it to a Keeway that's closer to where you live?

If you don't tell us what changes you made we cannot discount them as the cause no your problem.

Broken the steering lock, angle grinder marks on the brakes where he had to remove a disk lock "that he forgot the key for", fucked the wiring "because the ignition was stuck". Etc.
