TuneIn starts restricting international stations in the UK after major labels’ legal win

tl;dr Sony Music & Warner Music have effectively argued in court that people in the UK can't listen to international music radio stations Sad

Regionalisation. This is just another re-run of the old regionalised DVDs debacle that then morphed into pubs showing football from Arabic satellites and so on. Basically big corporation says hey, we can gouge people in a rich country! "But! But! You look like a load of greedy c*nts!!!" Don't care.

And of course yet again VPN to the rescue. I'm listening to Radio Garden by my PC appearing to be in Holland Very Happy What should happen now is some bright Human Rights lawyer points out this restriction is ageist seeing as old fuckers are least likely to figure out how to bypass this edict Wink

The biggest killer of new music (real music, not autotuned-to-fuck, sampled, overdubbed synthetic crap) is the music industry.
