Sorry this is a long one!!
Sooo, standing in a queue for the tills ...
Female being served takes forever to pack her stuff, then does the usual and starts searching for the cards to pay ... ffs you knew you were going to the checkout ... how about getting the card ready!!
Anyway, while she is still being served, the chap behind her has put his stuff up on the belt ... there is now about a foot or so clear on the belt, but I didn't want to stand up his chuff to put my stuff on the belt!
I turned round to comment to the person behind me about people not having the method of payment ready when they go to the tills.
Fuckwit two people behind chimes up ... "When are you going to put your stuff up on the belt" ... I pointed out to him that that there was still one person being served and another to be served before it was my turn ... and told him to fuck off!
Then he comes out with ... "Some people have places to be and stuff to do" ... at this point I just flipped!!
Via lots of swearing and raised voice, told him he was an asshole who thought he was more important than everyone else etc etc.
He then tries to push past me trying to get to the till or so I thought, so I blocked him twice, before then realising he had decided to go to the self checkout!
I was soooooooo angry, I really wanted to pound his head into the ground.
I apologised profusely to the staff then came home, had a few jam doughtnuts and calmed down
I'm finding that as I get older I'm starting to get less tolerant of assholes ... possibly because I've let people walk all over me in the past ... I was never very confrontational!!
I know I over-reacted, majorly ... but what would you lot have done in the same situation?
I'm quite happy for you to say I'm the asshole
And breathe!

Moral of the story: eat jam doughnuts before approaching the checkout. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Supermarkets fault for getting rid of manned tills and replacing them with auto ones. Means poeople who won't use them have longer to wait to be checked out and start to lose their rag.
I would glue yourself to an auto till and call it a climate protest because you hate them so much it causes your temperature to rise and promotes climate warming. Then as an entitled protester you can hit who you want. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

They have self service and manned at my usual shop. I won't use self service out of principle, I'd sooner queue and
have an interaction with a human, regardless of how long that takes. Maybe I'm just old fashioned. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

^^^ I'm the same ... however, the interaction this time wasn't what I was expecting
I don't have a problem queuing, just with people who think they are something special |

I have not had an altercation/hostile exchange at a checkout for years.
Last antipersonnel issue I have had was during the 1st year of The Rona Event.
A big Fat Bastirt and torn Face Cow at a check in desk decided to ruin my day.
Fortunately for me, Police Scotland were called (By check in staff) and Police Scotland told the two pair of kunts to let me on the plane. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

Classic hangry man. Don't shop hungry. You probably had low blood sugar.
One of my mates is like that on bike runs and he's got worse as he gets older. The politest most softly spoken guy you could hope to meet then he get off the bike at the next stop raging and carrying himself on. It's got to the point where a couple of the guys have taken to carrying snacks in their tank-bag and shove a pork pie in his mouth when he starts. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. So go to a checkout attended by a fat person.
