Now, viewers, that is the end of the intermission.

Back to the bitch-fight....

Pass the popcorn

At one point half my bike club were riding R1s with straight bar clamps, renthal drag bars, aftermarket pipes, no plastics and dommi headlights. They are total weapons.

The trick was to buy a tidy one. put the plastics, exhaust and original bars away somewhere safe then proceed to thrash the tits off it everywhere. When it started making funny noises, put the pristine plastics and bars back on, punt it and buy another one.

If you don't grip the tank on an R1 under hard braking, you're going to get a sore dick. Emergency braking on a sportsbike involves sitting up, gripping with your knees and pushing up and back on the pegs as if you were trying to shove yourself onto the pillion seat so you move your centre of mass back and your moment of rotation down. Unless you have a slipper-clutch, your back wheel will probably be skipping by this point anyway so the rear brake is something of an afterthought.
