Ok, you must watch this video. I have never even seen or heard of a crash where motorbike is almost scratch free and the car is totally wrecked
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ety5qDc3mm4
The bike is Ducati (believe or not), but I think it's these crash bars that are responsible for the miracle
Just made me laugh a lot, crazy, hit him like a tank, even the bloody indicator is still intact |

It only hits the front RH corner so mostly thin panels and hardly a wreck.
Would guess 15 mph ish
and the rider is looking everywhere but not straight ahead so may have
to take some of the blame
Not judging, its a busy road and the guy was probably more preoccupied with the faster moving traffic he wanted to join.
No need to watch for all minutes
46 seconds in to 56 seconds in

Don't know all the details of my big crash, but it was enough to turn a Mini Metro on its roof. I saw the bike some time later, and although all the fairing, forks, front wheel, clocks etc were mashed, from the headstock back I couldn't find a scratch. Don't ask me how that's possible from a head-on collision with closing speed of reportedly well over 100mph. Judging by the wreck of my shoulder, I think I just body-barged the thing ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Big heavy bike breaks some plastic bolted to a car at low speed.
"Must watch" is pushing it a bit ____________________ DILLIGAF |
