picture this, me on my bike slowly pulling up to the lights, to go straight on... when i hear some boi racer flogging the arse of some nova or something, so i think to my self, " i cba with these twats giving me shit" so i pull abit further over to the left to give them plenty of room on my right, so i wait for them to go past on amber, as they usually don't wait for green, it hits amber , i get ready to set of , when all of a sudden SLAM car removes my rear indicator, smashes my leg up against the engine and cracks my right wing mirror, i didn't realise it happened at first about a second later when they go past and honked at me , " I MEAN wtf" so i pull over thinking they'd stop but oh no, they just f#cked off....
so i stop the bike wheel it onto the pavement and go back at pick up the broken bits, now i know for a fact that theres a camera because its facing were i got clipped, so if i go down the old bill will they do anything about it ? there was no way i was over the lines atall, i think they did it to scare me and go to close, what do you think? my ankles really swelled up, the bikes not to bad just the indicator and mirror.

I would go and report it to the police asap, they'll view the video camera tape of it and then go from there. From what you've said the boi racer will get done firstly for failure to stop after an accident, and also something along the lines of dangerous driving. You'll also get them to pay for your bike damage to be repaired, luckily not badly damaged so I'd expect the driver will offer to pay you for it personally rather than through his insurance.

[edit] im annoyed at the fact they didn't stop, asif the didn't care, but more annoyed about the bike, hope i put a nice big scratch down the side of there precious bodykit, i have buckles on my boots, dont have a camera atm sorry but there frank thomas's and the buckle dug into my leg, if i had trainers on it would of been worse, thank god i decided to put full leathers on eh

If it's from a CCTV you should be able to pay £10 and get a copy of any occourances of you on that tape under the Data protection act.

However not all cameras have tape in and some loop, so I'd get it looked in to as soon as possible. Maybe even contact the people running the camera yourself.

Well i went down the police station today after college, the officer was ok actullay as he is a police biker he said hes going to get there licence plate from the camera from the Duke Hotel ( a pub were it happend) and hes going to get back to me, anyway as soon as i got home he foned back, as the hotel had already handed the video in for some strange reason, so he contacted the guy and after arguing he said hed pay for the damages, as he was clearly in the wrong, but hes going to take it further during the week, he said that hes possibly going to get a ban or points, depending on the head officer feels at the time

oh yeah and he even had the cheek to ask about the damage done to his paint work were he HIT ME ??? lol

Well, i nearly got knocked over an nortwick park roundabout yesterday by some nonce in his saxo! My rear wheel just cleared his front bumper by about 2 metres and i was doing 30mph into the exit road... he had entered from the previous exit behind a van (thus obscuring his view - not that his burberry cap was obscuring it anyway) and raced off the line! I thouroughly agree with getcarter4dynamo's quote! We need to raise awareness!
