How many ways can that sentence be interpreted? And I don't mean by adding punctuation, as it stands, there, in black and white.

The answer is seven ways,

1. [I] never said she stole your money. (Someone else did)

2. I [never] said she stole your money. (never said that)

3. I never [said] she stole your money. (implied it in some other way)

4. I never said [she] stole your money. (she didn’t, someone else did)

5. I never said she [stole] your money. (maybe she borrowed it)

6. I never said she stole [your] money. (the money wasn’t yours)

7. I never said she stole your [money]. (she stole something else.)

Another one is

I told him that I loved him.

Or

I told her that I loved her.

You can add the word "Only" anywhere in that sentence and it'll make sense.

But then when you really think about it, this makes perfect sense too

I've actually given up telling blokes that I love them I seem incapable any more. Affection, yes. Love: No - sad but true.
Don't repress your emotions too much kiddies, because eventually if you keep pushing them away, they'll disappear for good.
