Hello,

I’m new to this forum and frankly motorcycles. Recently picked up 2 non running nsr 125 engines (ones in the frame), a husqvarna sm125 frame with the rear subrame of the NSR. I’ll probably make a post that I’ll frequently update with hows the project going. But my first questions will be the head and the cylinder lines don’t line up. What might it mean and do I really have to give a shit about it?

The idea is now to take the 2nd engine and take it apart so I could answer all the questions that might pop up, understand the process behind all of the parts. After that is finished, I’ll take the engine that is in the frame, do a bottom end and the top end rebuild, once that is done I’ll pick up retrofitting skills in order to fit other parts to the non original frame.

Would be very happy if great mechanics would follow this project and help me understand the problems I might encounter.

P.S. Photo might be flipped

Thank you for reading. Have a great day.

They're casting marks, just an artifact of the casting process.
