Interestingly on skynews earlier they were discussing the difference in responses between missing men and women.

Honestly I have no problem with a mum vanishing after dropping off her kids at school, in those circumstances being high priority.

No. Civilisation as we know it is based on drugs. Water bad in the city? Drink small beer, much safer. No VR system in Ancient Greece? No problem, you can trip on 'shrooms - consult the Oracle and all that.
