Sooooo yeah i managed to damage the chrome reflection on my headlights :/ ... With masking tape no less...

Anyway ive done a not amazing patch with some molotow chrome paint Its ok... just obvious...

Whats peoples opinions on projector mods?
Looking up, as long as the beam is correct theyre legal. (as with the recent-ish changes to the law, where it was ambiguous like led bulbs before)

Are they just horridly naff and frowned on?

Whats your thoughts?

The law says you can only use them in lenses disigned specifically for them. That means you will need to replace the whole headlight to fit them.

I'd say good LED headlights are probably better if you can find an insert that fits. They come on immediately, hardly draw any power, dip and beam immediately and when I've used projectors before, they've had an awkward spectrum of light that seemed to wash-out a lot of the contrast.

Oh it would be a led based projector. Not xenon.

It's just more about how naff they might be to ppl.
Like anodised grips are naff :p

Replace the broken unit and run specified bulbs.

Or

Replace the unit with aftermarket and devalue it.

I would use option 1.

Is this the beginning of a Russian version of a Two Ronnies sketch?
