Hi All,

Im currently building a somewhat cafe racer out of an RG125 gamma, i was just wondering if the RGV250 barell would fit to make it a 150cc, i do have a full bike licence but i just fancy a light fizzy little 2 stroke, im not sure which year will fit the bike, but ive heard they will.

Also would a 32mm or 34mm carb be a good choice i think the standard one is a PHB28 if i remember rightly.

Thanks all - Joe

They are worth more as standard.

An RGV250 engine is actually 2 RG125 engines welded(ish) together. If you divide 250 by 2 what do you get?

Don't cafe it, and try to think about the numbers I mentioned above.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

You are going to turn a race rep into a cafe racer? You're ally aren't getting the point.
A cafe racer is a normal bike made more like a racer. You can't really turn a race rep into more of a racer.

Yeah i fully understand, but i bought it really cheap already had the back 6" of frame cut off and a hoop fitted to follow the contour of the seat, if the frame was still stock i would definitely put it back to standard, but its now got a black steat with a hump at the back, and ive got some billet clip ons for it, when i got it it had no fairings, hand painted blue wheels and some disgusting aweful front headlight and sit up and beg bars on it, i fully rebuilt the engine, i think i put +.5 size piston in it and its sat for years, i just fancy doing it now Smile

The last six inches of a gamma is a subframe...

Hi All,

Ive just remembered id posted this, i have absolutely no idea what was going through my head when i said that, its mental.

I know full well a RGV250 barell fits an RG 125 and that 250 divided by 2 is 125... as I used one on my RG125 FUN if i remember when i rebuilt it years ago... where i got the 150cc from ive no idea....

Does anyone have a workshop manual at all for the 125 gamma, its a 1989/1990 model, i only have the one for the FUN engine, want a wiring diagram and an engine diagram mainly, i did download a gamma manual and wiring diagram years ago but i cannot find it at all.

Thanks all

Hi the barrels from an Rgv250 are quite different from the old gamma. You may be better off sourcing one from an Rg250 gamma. Fairly sure there are a couple of 125cc gamma barrels on ebay at the moment.
