I have just seen a post on FB reminding people to bring photo ID for the forthcoming local council elections.

When did that happen. Not that I'm against it but I didn't know it had become law. If it's the case, what happens with postal voting, does anyone know?

No photo ID will be required for those whose vote is cast by post so it will be mass fraud as usual.

The only light I can offer is the Electoral Commission in this country are, relative to most of the world, non-partisan and good at their job. They should at least be able to quantify the number of in-person votes vs. postal votes and gauge how much of a problem we have (if one were pessimistic and assumed the majority of postal votes are fraudulent.)

On the contrary, you'll see a massive upswing in the total amount of postal voting due to lack of legit ID's
amongst those who want a say in how we do things here. Plus it's basically a second vote for those who do have legitimate
identity docs and a mind to pull a fast one in order to push an agenda. Unless we revert back to a poll tax system any
number of imaginary voters/claimants can live at an address that is taxed on it's value rather than number of registered
adult occupants.

I don't even have a photo ID as my licence predates it and passport currently expired. Thinking

My photo IDs really are dreadful.
Especially my passport and my residence permit - I was much MUCH fatter when those were done.
If I use them, they'll think I'm not me Shocked

My driving licence is probably a better bet: I look much more glam Laughing

I believe the general consensus is it was another sham idea by the Tory scum in a vain hope to desperately cling on to power, because the yoof wont vote for them and are less likely to have suitable ID as per the list of acceptable IDs. Whisked in under the guise of "preventing voter fraud" despite there only being... 6 cases of voter fraud

Whereas all the old codgers still voting for them all proudly have their freedom bus passes and blue badges which are somehow considered proof of ID for voting.

Sometime next year for a general election? Be nice when Labour get in and we can have a Right-Wing government for a change.

Whoever wins there will be an exceedingly rich bloke in charge, who can't relate to us plebs.

I'm voting Tory, purely because Labour will obviously get in, and at least I can then moan for the next 5 years.

May I suggest not voting for the Tories. As well as being kicked out of office they also deserve to be utterly destroyed.
