I have an IR activated driveway alert and it seems to be going crackers today, lots of false triggers.
Changed the batterys, no difference.

I've been trying to figure out what the hell is going on with it and it occurred to me that it could be solar flare related.

Had a look online, I wonder if it could be something to do with this...

I wondered if anyone else has had any strange activity going on with electrical devices?

Are you talking an IR activated gate or a sensor that picks up movement?

Yeah we do get some cat activity, (including our own furbag), cats always show up on the camera though.

It's calmed down a bit now btw, only triggering once every 15 - 20 minutes.

There's a camera alert on our farmyard entrance doing it today too it is alternating sun/cloud making strong shadows come and go - it thinks is movement.

There is no sensitivity adjustment on mine.

I think doggone has hit the nail on the head.

I was wrong, I don't think solar flare activity or space weather had anything to do with it at all. Very Happy

Mines been going a bit squiffy even with the sens turned down, doggone is correct for me though, tractor/trailer passing flips the sun down a bit and it triggers.
