Seems likely.. but why the court/rozzers so cagey about releasing that detail?

Have you ever seen anyone getting squished by a car and I don't mean the sanitized Hollywood version or some distant uncle's phone video? It's not very pretty when a head goes pop!!

You can't say that and not post a link to the video.

From what I could see from the video, the woman wasn't particularly competent at cycling. Nothing really
happened that would cause her to swan dive off a pushbike while performing the Cycling 101 manoeuvre
of 'stopping safely from the heady speed of all of 5mph'. I can see why she wasn't in the road, seen 7 year olds
that can cycle better, it was only a matter of time before something or someone wiped her out.

I used to regularly stop cyclists riding on the pavement when I lived in Edinbugh. By stop, I mean firmy grasp the handlebars making sure I got both brake levers with my thumbs then tell them to get off the pavement. This was firmy in the realms of it being a busy pedestrian footway though, on a road that had a bus lane they were free to ride in, not some vague shared cycleway.

Lol. This was back in the day when the Motorola 'cellular phone' in the cab was still attached by coiled cable to a battery pack, handheld video recorders weighed about 15lbs, ARPANET hadn't long been decommisioned and Camborne was still stuck in the 19th Century. How much video do you suppose there was of the event? Laughing

We live in an age when people can record and send video around the world in the blink of the eye. Now combine that with the track record on health and safety in china or india and that answers you question.

Pretty sure it's not a case of can you find it on the internet so much as do you want to find it?

My driving instructor once said to me: if someone wants to overtake you at a hundred miles an hour don't compound one crime with another by blocking the outside lane.

tl;dr two wrongs don't make a right so whether the cyclist should have been on the pavement is a moot point with regards to the subsequent crime, it could only be considered a mitigating circumstance at most.

No phuquer has ever caught up with me to attempt a pass.

That third lane is all mine. Cool
