Track day insurance?

Can anybody advise anything about this? I can see from google that track day insurance exists, but is it something that anyone actually takes out, or is it so expensive that it's not worthwhile and you just hope for the best?

TBH I'm thinking more about damage to a third party rather than to me or my own bike... ie, what happens if I were to do something stupid on track and ended up maiming a high earner with four kids - without insurance in place is he going to be able to come after me for my house? Etc, etc...

It doesn’t cover as much as you’d like it to.
I think that white dalton did an article about it at some point.
