Rarely, lack of company and any kind of meaningful destination makes it so that it would just be burning fuel for
burning fuels sake, and truth be told my car gets better MPG than my bike does. It also has climate control which
is lovely when the weathers hot and I'm quite happy driving in shorts and a T shirt. CBA to put on 10 tons of
kit and spend 15 minutes getting my bike out to the street to just pointlessly ride around in Bristol for no
good reason.

If you don't ride for the sake of the ride, what's the point in having a bike?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

As I just said, its a huge faff to drag the bike out and I really cant be bothered for the sake of riding in circles
around Bristol with no tangible destination. Somewhat of a metaphor of my entire life actually. Lack of purpose has
a lot to do with why I'm struggling with my mental health at the moment and why I fail to accomplish anything. I'm
not motivated to do ANYTHING and I've learned that without a legit reason to do something I'll choose to do
nothing instead. Also my descent into semi functional alcoholism has made it so that its rare that I'm still under
the limit by midday 9 days out of 10. I feel a huge sense of accomplishment if I manage to wash my dirty
dishes and take a shower these days.

Is that your bike in the middle of that pack?
I was sure you told us that you were in Glasgow to cash your Giro.

why would you want to ride around Bristol?

theres some great roads around that way and beyond. Cotswolds, Mendips etc.
why not take a ride down to Devon/Cornwall?
such a waste of great weather and a great bike.

and instead of trying to be the fastest thing on the road, just bimble and soak up the scenery.

No.
You must have dreamed that I mentioned it, or maybe I was gaslighting you.

I agree.
My efforts to maintain sanity currently don't get me much past the Ace Caff, its all I can do to drag my sorry arse out but once on the bike, the buzz of traffic tetris blows away some cobwebs (cos I'm so daft, that's my favourite thing).

But occasionally I manage to accidentally bimble into a countrified area other than Epping Forest - I did use to love going down to Salisbury, stress seems to melt away once you get out in the proper countryside.

Can someone PLEASE provide us with a proper sheep so we can get back to business as usual.
We're not having alpacas, no matter how adorable they are.
So NO marinas and NO MOLECULES OF AIR! (yet)

We're still on fucking sheep (so to speak)

That is your mission, should you choose to accept it.
And don't be trying to palm us off with goats!
Stick to eating the goats, and papping sheep with the bike.

A most redikulas looking animal.

Unless it's the owners who make them look like they're Ruud Gilut (spelling) that redikulas hair styled Cloggy footy person.

I might have a lamb shank in the back of me freezer.
But I'd have to pull everything out to see if its still there.

Go on then.

I feel we are suffering some form of group ennui.

I believe the challenge was for a lamb. Not a sheep (or sheeps, as JC likes to call them).

I'll set a new challenge.

CHALLENGE: Your bike outside The Red Lion public house.

I saw loads of sheep and lambs lying about in the road going over the Mennock pass at the weekend.

Don't carry a camera though so I'm probably not going to be much of a contributor to this thread.

Happily, they are streetwise sheep up there which don't as a rule go running about like a headless chicken when they see a motorbike coming.
