Here it is, although no steam but electric one:

Steam ones are in closed areas in museum here they do not let me with the bike inside Laughing

If accepted

Next challenge your bike near electric wind turbine

That's awesome.

Well done.

FYI there are still some live steam railways in the UK, not sure about other countries, not for mass public transport of course, they're novelty rides / days out. But working steam locomotives do still exist in the wild, in some places. I'd also have accepted a miniature railway, plenty of those around the UK at seaside resorts.

Ok wind turbine it is.

Ready, set... GO!!!

WHOA!! Hold yer horses, there! Tut Tut

That's not a locomotive. Doh! (and not even electric, begads)
That's a Diesel Multiple Unit, specifically a Siemens Desiro DMU Class 642.

Now, back into the sidings with you or I'll get Nobby on yer arse, see if I don't. Black Eye

Laughing too late I've accepted it now and the new challenge has been set.

Is a DMU not still a locomotive in its own right as it is the engine / power source?

Far be it for me to override your evident superior knowledge on the subject, but Google defines a locomotive as:

"a powered railway vehicle used for pulling trains"

One might argue that a DMU could be used for pulling a train.

I'm not sure if the train in that photo is powered at both ends (push+pull), and whether that by definition makes it not a locomotive because each section is running under its own power, but even if it is, you could still argue there's nothing to stop it from pulling and/or pushing a larger train with carriages in between. At which point, according to Google's definition, I believe it becomes a locomotive.

Are we/I taking this a tad too seriously? Who'd have thought that a topic such as trains could bring out the fury and keyboard worriorness of the autists and train nerds in here?!

I set the challenge. I believe it's up to me whether to accept the entry or not. In the spirit of my intent to which the challenge was set, I accept the entry.

NEXT CHALLENGE: Your bike near an electric wind turbine.

Actually it does not matter. I will gladly give up my locomotive points, note the lcomotive challenge has been set up on 24 July which way more then one week and as our game rules say:

3. Challenge is good for one week. If nobody gets it by then, please select a different challenge.

So if DUCAUDI say that

NEXT CHALLENGE: Your bike near an electric wind turbine.

That is the next challenge Laughing

Now we need to find someone to do it....

This is the sort of thing I'm thinking of:

Perhaps a bit unfair, I'm not sure how prevalent these are around the UK, I know there's quite a few around here in the South East. Any objections and I'm happy to set a different challenge.

Feckin' typical! I only had to wander up the street to get this photo in my village, however you set the challenge the day I left for France. Literally just walked through the door so I squeezed this photo op in quickly before coming home.

I've been having sweats and panic attacks while I've been away worried someone else would get in there first! I can now sleep peacefully without being interrupted by night terrors for the first time in a week.

Had a nice 1000 mile round trip journey, thoroughly courteous and disciplined drivers on the continent, 1000 miles and no agro, however it took less than 5 minutes getting off the boat in Dover before someone (a Brit) tried to kill me. Only shocking driving I witnessed over there was other Brits close to Calais. What an image we must portray to our European neighbours Shocked

S-O-o-o-o, Val, what's your alternative challenge to be?
...what with our ol' mate 'Rule 3' already having put the kibosh on DUCAUDI's valiant attempt to keep the thread's momentum going . . . Sad

C'mon, Val! We're all agog!

Whistle

I dunno . . . maybe Your bike next to the gently-swaying corpse of the putz who >cough<lllN30lll>cough< came up with this ridiculously complicated rule in the first place.

Just a thought.

InB4 all sorts of shit . . . Doh!

Ok guys my misus has pair of nice jugs, but we have a problem here.

After I have written off my last bike she doesn't know I have bought a new one.

That also rules out my bike anywhere near her girlfriends either Laughing

I was thinking to get some random lady on the street, but it's not going to work I mean old pervert stopping you on the street asking to take photo of your jugs on his bike I mean is that even legal Laughing Laughing Laughing

Must have been some misunderstanding.

I was thinking something along the lines of this:

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ea/23/ca/ea23ca49b8dfa058be9f6ea179d4cf66.png

Ok let's try again:

NEXT CHALLENGE: Your bike next to / in view of a nice pair of baps.

Thinking burger van / food wagon. Bonus point if you can get a sausage in there.
