Hello.

I’m hoping some of you will help me.

I’m considering purchasing either a Honda CB500F or a Kawasaki Z400.

I’d prefer the Honda due to; larger engine (Honda 471cc 47hp – Kawasaki 399cc 44.8hp), more torque (Honda 43nm - Kawasaki 37nm), more weight (Honda 189kg – Kawasaki 167kg), larger fuel tank (Honda 17L – Kawasaki 14L) and its dual front disc brake.

My questions are…

Would the Honda’s extra 72cc/2.2hp/6nm of torque be noticeable?

I’m thinking the Honda engine would help when carrying a pillion, but would be not so much of a marked difference when riding solo.

I expect the extra weight of the Honda would go some way to providing a more stable ride in windy conditions.

Thanks for reading. Any pointers would be very much appreciated.

considering the extra weight, i dont think their would be much in it really

one might have more power but if its heavier then it wont be any quicker

If you can, test ride them both and buy the one that puts the biggest smile on your face. Very Happy

Although, you might not like either after you've tried them out Razz
