Hello, I'm confused by some codes on a Mahle oil filter. I ordered part number OC1141 which is specified for my bike (BMW G310R) but the new one and the existing one, even though both with the part number OC1141, have different codes: the old one has 20W32 printed on and the new one 22W47. The new one looks a tiny bit longer too (same diameter I think). Even the oil filter retailer didn't really know what it was. Does anyone here know what that code means or if it affects compatibility?

C.

I replaced the oil filter of my S1000RR using Mahle.
I started the hoowur last month after being sat in the garage over winter.
(Try to ignore the blatent evidence that there a bit of dirt on the insides of the bike. Embarassed It's spotless now.. )
Oil leak spraying from under the cowl.
The feckin' Mahle filter canister rusted through.

So no more bargain basement Maehle for me from now on.
That could have cost an engine or a serious spill and a trip to the infirmary/morgue.

And.... I do not care if I spell their name correctly either.

Mhale, Male, Mahee Mahee. Whatever.
