Ok. How can we have both a housing shortage AND an under-population problem. It's not like the number of houses is going down.

We have an over-population problem but that's just down to importing 20 million people the native population has mostly remained static over the last 30 years or so. The demographic collapse thing will play out over maybe the next 50 years but at least it's something real to point at rather than 0.001% more CO2 heralding the apocalypse Wink

Of course Britain will be much more manageable once the pesky natives have died out. People born and bred in a country tend to have quaint ideas about patriotism that distract them from the primary concern of "line go up!"

The people leaving Adobe shacks with wavy tin sheet roofs are not going to live in one of our British Hovels.
(Or rather, the laywers acting on their behalf say so.)

Though their are too many cooncil houses that aren't fit to keep dogs in.
Clashed together by Cash-n-Dash contractors to less than substandard standards and tax payers footed the bill.
If there is no one properly responsible for ensuring taxpayers money is spent wisely, then there not a hope in hell profiteering mobsters won't sit at the bottom of the money chute with their mouths wide open.

We have loads of pre-wwii housing still in great condition in the Glasgow area. Built by builders and not Bru-Money Mongers, who have no skills. But loads of tattoos.
