It's an Autocruise camper conversion for the sake of full disclosure... this device (and the related warning light) have been raising false alarms for about a year now. Despite my best efforts - cleaning, lubricating etc. - the situation has got worse to the point where I drove 150 miles home on Saturday with the bastard thing permanently on. I know there's nothing wrong with the door sensors, because the central locking won't activate if any of the doors aren't shut properly. I can press the lock button on the dash and the doors all lock even while the buzzer is sounding.

So now it has to die. I've already had the instrument binnacle out and stuck Blu-tac over the offending light, but what I really want is that fecking buzzer deactivated. The sound comes from the driver's side dash somewhere; it only buzzes when the van is moving, which makes locating the sound harder. I've had a look at the relay panel low down on the driver's side dash, but that just looks like a load of relays, not that I know what I'm looking for anyway!

I've tried YouTube, Peugeot/Citroen/Fiat forums but no dice, unfortunately.

pitchers.
pitchers, pitchers, pitchers

I'm assuming its a peizo sounder, most are
These don't have to be big and it could be on the instrument cluster PCB but it may also be remotely mounted and look like a relay.

I'd also be concerned over why its sounding
what condition has caused that?
is there another state apart from door switches that could cause it to activate?

Edit:
Just had a quick dekko at Aurocruise Boxers and see like many it has quite a few hatches presumably for gas bottles porta potties, hook ups etc
I wouldn't be surprised if some of these had sensors fitted when the conversion was done

This is down at the bottom of the driver's side of the dash:

There's nothing that looks remotely like a piezo buzzer on the PCB of the instrument panel, plus I'm pretty sure the sound isn't coming from that high up anyway.

What's setting it off? Your guess is as good as mine... it has one job: to buzz if you drive off with a door open. Since it started going off about a year ago it's never even once been right, so I'm not too concerned about ignoring it. The doors all open and lock properly, which wouldn't be the case if there was a problem with one of the locks/catches.

EDIT: I hope Autocruise haven't had at this circuit, but it would explain a lot if they have. I have had multiple issues with the wiring in this camper, all of them to do with stuff those incompetent bastards did - the Peugeot stuff has always been OK.

Pulling fuses might give you a clue.
Could it be made to beep in first gear with wheel(s) jacked up.
